Essay

Everybody has a story to say; now I am going to talk about mine. It is not spectacular, but it does not stop being important. I am Andrea Salas, best known as Andy. I am the third daughter of Juan Salas and Paty Castillo. My first brother was Marco he dead a long time ago, but he would be 23 years old. Next to Marco is Cristy who is 22 years old and she does not live with us because she is married. I am the next one and I am 20 years old and next to me is my little sister Karla, she is 16 years old.

When I was younger I used to go out with friends, those friends where my neighbors, my sisters and the grandchildren of some of my neighbors. We used to play soccer, fut-base, and different kind of games that involved play on the street. Also those games were played at night, we started at 7:00 p.m. and when we did not had classes we finished at 12:00 a.m. When I was in high school junior I liked to be in all the school activities that were done for holidays. I was always in every event with my friends, and sometimes my friends and I used to help teachers to plan the events, and maybe more than being helping, the environment that my friends and I created was very good.

Nowadays there is an important thing where I am focused on. This important thing is my studies and also my personal improvement. It does not mean that I just want to study all the day; I just do my best to get good scores in order not to fail any subject. Also I like to be with my friends, go out with them and getting fun but healthily. One more think that I love doing in my free time, is to bake cakes, and prepare desserts. I am not an expert, but I am learning by myself and that I like too much, because I know what I should improve or I should not do for the next time in some desserts. All of those things are not really important, but I know that they will help me a lot in the future for something.

There are two important plans I want to do in the next coming years. The first one is as student, but it leads some important aspects. I want to finish my major in time without failing a subject. This is in order to get a good job. But more than getting a good job I want to become independent and a good job can pay my needs. The second one and very important to me, is that I want to create a kind of campaign against bulimia and anorexia. This is because those diseases are problems that not all of the people know about. This mean, people have an idea about the meanings of the diseases, but they do not really know what the diseases imply. So the purpose of this campaign is to decrease the number of girls and boys with those eating disorders.

As it is seen, there are many things that involve a life story. My life story have had its bad and good things, each one of them has helped me to improve myself or simply to have experience on things that can make me feel better. My life is a little bit short but it is very important to me every little thing and every person that has arrived to there.

Sponge Bob cake

It was my last birthday and it was almost the end of the day when I received an amazing surprise from my sisters. This beautiful and unexpected gift was a cake in shape of Sponge Bob. He is a very famous cartoon and very common among children because of his dummy way to be and the main characteristics, a spongy yellow square with two big teeth, large smile, enormous blue eyes, and colossal lashes. The peculiar way he wears his square pants, his white shirt with the red tie and his black shoes with his with socks.

The shape of this cake was actually awesome because it was very real to the famous Sponge Bob. Sponge Bob in his square body has some waves that the cake also had. Every little detail Sponge Bob have, the cake also had. The blue ayes, the big lashes, his hands his feet with the black shoes and the white socks. It was not like a drawn, it means that the shape of the cake was touchable, it was easy to feel his hands, his square pants, his noise, everything. This is because the fondant (frosting) that was hard and while more time it was in the refrigerator, harder was the fondant. It was not a teeny cake, but it was not to very giant, it was kind of medium size like 60 centimeters from head to feet, but the cake was just from head to square pants.

The flavor of the cake was really delicious. It was a vanilla cake, very sweet and very tasty. The fondant I thought that was not going to have a special flavor, this is because I know that fondant is done with a mixture that I did not have sugar. So when I ate a little piece of fondant I liked it very much as if I were eating a candy. The fondant was very sweet like if I would have eaten a spoon of sugar. The combination of the cake and the fondant was very tasty, both were sweet but if they were eaten together it was difficult to feel that the cake was cloying as the fondant alone in enormous quantities.

This Sponge Bob cake was an unexpected gift, I just wanted to have a nice day with my family and friends, gifts are not important, the important thing is enjoy the day, which is what I think. It was night and I just wanted to rest. I was watching a movie in the living room when my older sister arrived with the Sponge Bob cake and I just stayed in shock, I walked to her and I took the cake to brought it to a table and I just were looking at the cake without listening to my sister until my mother arrived saying “what beautiful cake”. I did not get tired by saying thanks to my sisters; they know how much I love Sponge Bob. The only problem was that nobody wanted to eat the cake because of the perfect replica to the cartoon the cake was. As a result the cake was eaten the next day of my birthday.

There is a new and funny type of frosting that confectioneries are using nowadays, this is the fondant, that let confectioneries to create more different and attractive ways, than the conventional, to decorate cakes. And it does not matter if it is a chocolate cake or yellow cake, you just have to enjoy the cake and the moment, I did it with my beautiful and delicious Sponge Bob cake.
